Playing the waiting game

 

I don't know if you know who Danny Gokey is.  He was a runner up on American Idol. He is from my hometown. I LOVE him.  He is truly anointed and is used mightily in people's lives through his music. So, you can imagine when I heard he had a new song, called Haven't Seen It Yet, I was ecstatic.  The words are below.

I have often found myself discouraged about things I have prayed for many years, and still no answer. How about you?  One of the things I find difficult to tell Jesus is that I will wait and trust in Him.  I forget that I can ask Him for understanding.  Now, that's  not saying He will give it to me immediately.  I learned a long time ago that there are three answers to prayer: yes, no and wait.  I don't like the last two.  Oh well, to bad for me. Jesus is not at my beck and call. He is not on my time schedule, I am on His.  I forget that it is a privilege to be able to pray and to trust Him with my life.  I call this blind faith. Faith in the unseen.  So....I can wait.  Here are Danny's words.....
