Change

In this every changing world, it is difficult to put one's trust in anything. In my opinion, our society has become one of entitlement, selfishness, and "me first".  How did we get to where we are? I have seen the changes come slowly, as our family structures have broken down, greed has taken over, and road rage is prevalent because my "stuff" is more important than yours.  How sad.  How it must grieve the heart of God.   For  those of us who have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, He has called us to something different. We are to exhibit the love of Christ, reach out to those who don't know Him, show grace and forgiveness, and most of all put our total trust in the One who has shown reckless love in pursuing us.  Malachi 3:6 says, "For I the Lord do  not change". Even though the world around us is changing, we can rest and trust in the fact that He never does.   How wonderful!

Playing the waiting game

I don't know if you know who Danny Gokey is.  He was a runner up on American Idol. He is from my hometown. I LOVE him.  He is truly anointed and is used mightily in people's lives through his music. So, you can imagine when I heard he had a new song, called Haven't Seen It Yet, I was ecstatic .   The words are below. I have often found myself discouraged about things I have prayed for many years, and still no answer. How about you?  One of the things I find difficult to tell Jesus is that I will wait and trust in Him.  I forget that I can ask Him for understanding.  Now, that's  not saying He will give it to me immediately.  I learned a long time ago that there are three answers to prayer: yes, no and wait.  I don't like the last two.  Oh well, to bad for me. Jesus is not at my beck and call. He is not on my time schedule, I am on His.  I forget that it is a privilege to be able to pray and to trust Him with my life. ...

Something to think about....

How does a person become acceptable to God? The path to redemption begins not with  the decision to live a better life or to stop doing something wrong, but with the  realization that we cannot correct our sinful nature. To find favor with the Lord, we  must grasp that its impossible to make ourselves righteous. Instead, we need to depend on the sacrifice Jesus made on our behalf. When we trust in Christ as our Savior, God the Father applies the benefit of Jesus' atoning sacrifice to our sin debt, thereby making us saved, that is, acceptable in His eyes. A God Sighting✞

The other morning at 6 am I went on a toilet paper (TP) hunt. I went to 3 stores, to no avail. I decided to try one more store on my way home only to find that they, too, had none. Bought a seltzer water and had a brief chat with the super nice check out lady, Becky. I told her about my early morning mission and that I had bought chips thinking that if I are enough salt I wouldn't need the bathroom so often. We laughed. She took my name and phone number and told me when the store got the ir shipment in she would call me and set aside some for me. About an hour later I received a call from the store that they had TP for me because Becky had told a customer about my story and they, too, laughed. Soon after this customer left she reappeared at the store with TP. She had gone to Target just down the road which had just received a huge shipment. She bought 24 mega rolls (amounted to 96 rolls) for me of the exact brand I buy, at no cost to me! So, if you are wondering if God is in cont...
